Our Current Position

We’re at an exciting crossroads. With our lease expiring in March, we’re negotiating a renewal while exploring new spaces around Newcastle. Should we need to, we’re prepared to return to our roots and run outdoor programs, which have always been a community favorite.

Like every summer, we’ve seen a large seasonal dip in memberships, but we’re actively welcoming new faces and reconnecting with returning members. Excitingly, some of our previous coaches are back in classes, helping us maintain the quality and energy you’ve come to love. Our current timetable remains in place as we work toward growing our coaching team and class offerings.

We are taking every physical and digital opportunity we can to advertise and get the word out with rack cards, referral incentives and higher budgets for ads to generate new leads.

Exciting Plans for the Future

Looking ahead, we’re rolling out initiatives to strengthen our community and enhance your experience:

  • Birthday Parties: We’re creating memorable birthday party experiences for our members to share their love of parkour with friends and family. It’s a fantastic way to grow our community.

  • New Curriculum: A refined curriculum is on the way to provide clear progression for students and coaches. It’ll ensure classes remain fun, challenging, and tailored to every student’s goals.

  • Expanded Timetable: Acquiring more memberships will allow us to train new coaches and expand into Friday classes once more. Your referrals will be a huge contribution to our community so spread the word for anyone looking for a life changing experience!

  • Feedback & Improvement: Your input is invaluable! I’ll be seeking feedback from parents and members to refine our policies and ensure we’re meeting your expectations.

  • Community Events: From movie nights to kids’ jams, we’re planning fun events to bring our community together beyond classes.

  • Reorganizing Leadership: We’re redistributing some head coach responsibilities to our experienced staff, ensuring our coaching quality remains top-notch while empowering our team. Though I will be keeping my eye out for strong leadership qualities within and outside of our team to secure a stronger future.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Alex

This new chapter comes with a bittersweet transition. Alex, our long-time Director/Head-Coach, has almost completely withdrawn from company operations after dedicating eight incredible years to building Newcastle Parkour. Letting go of this role brings new experiences as he re-connects with himself, spends more quality time with his wife Sarah and contributes to their lives and the world the way only Alex can.

Alex will continue supporting us as a member of the investor group and advisor, ensuring his legacy remains a foundation for our future.

From Newcastle Parkour, thank you Alex, for everything—your impact is immeasurable.

On a personal note, your friendship changed my life forever.

In Closing...

I’m honored to lead Newcastle Parkour into its next chapter and grateful for the trust and support of this incredible community. Together, we’ll continue to inspire and nurture the next generation in Newcastle and beyond just as those who came before us.

Thank you for being a vital part of this journey. I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together in the coming year!

Warm regards,

Zak Cahyadi
